Jason Tharp

Ever since Jason Tharp was six years old, he dreamed of creating stories that inspire kids to embrace who they are. Today, as a children’s book author and illustrator, he brings that dream to life through books that champion kindness, creativity, and self-empowerment.

In his work, Jason helps kids see that being different is what makes them extraordinary. Through characters and stories that encourage bravery, empathy, and self-acceptance, his mission is to help young readers find the magic in their own story and be proud of who they are. Jason believes it’s essential for children to grow up with skills rooted in resilience, compassion, and authenticity—especially in today’s world.

With books published by Scholastic, Simon & Schuster, and Macmillan, and through his Wonderville Studios channel, Jason also connects with schools and teachers, offering virtual and in-person visits that engage students in the joys of reading, drawing, and creative self-expression. His visits aim to inspire kids and remind them that everyone has a unique story to share.
